The Sun

What is the significance of the Sun in a natal chart? First, let's consider our life here on Earth. We leave in a Heliocentric universe, which means, the Sun is at the center of this world. The planets revolve around a fixed Sun. In other words, our Sun is the primary generator of energy and life. If there was no Sun, there would be no life.

When we look at our chart and our own Sun, it may help to start at this beginning reference point. The Sun in our charts represent vitality, creativity, leadership, source, energy, and animation. The Sun illuminates our core purpose, our drive, our motivation, and how you direct your energy outwardly. It's your conscious ego, how we want to illuminate and shine in this lifetime.

How do you like to radiate your warmth and spirit? Looking at the sign, house, and aspects your Sun makes in your chart can provide some clues. The Sun can show how you "organize" yourself in an ego structure. As in, "My name is Amy, I a mother, astrologer, and a curious learner.
