New Moon in Leo on July 24, 2025

The New Moon heralds a new beginning. This month we have a New Moon in Leo at 2 degrees. Leo embodies confidence, leadership, and the courage it takes to creatively self-express. I always look at the glyph of Leo and think of the lyrics from "Good as Hell" by Lizzo. "I do my hair toss, check my nails, Baby, how you feelin'?" So there's a vibe here of agency and feeling your "oats"-strong, vibrant, and a little bit cocky.

But, whoa, this New Moon is immediately opposed by Pluto in Aquarius. What does this mean? A potential for power plays. There could be a hitch in your giddy-up that may not feel so great. Whatever your ideas are, there may be caveats or stipulations. Other people may not be buying what you're selling. You may feel you have something to prove in what you'd like to offer out into the world. Is your heart in this new endeavor?

Being called on to the carpet may not feel so great, but being held accountable could help you look at your plan with a new set of eyes. Maybe you're sharing with the wrong audience, and by getting an immediate roadblock you are able to make some adjustments. Or, this coulbe be an opportunity to stand behind your convictions, and to not meekly walk away because someone doesn't see your vision. Whatever comes up during this lunation, ask yourself, "What's underneath this?" You may be surprised at what arises.

Uranus, newly in Gemini, is offering a sextile energy and Saturn/Neptune are offering a trine from Aries, so maybe there are other resources that can help you break free and find another space to offer your wares.
