JUPITER

Jupiter is Zeus, the sky god, who also symbolized by the thunderbolt. This is an erratic energy and to wield its power requires control and discipline. Otherwise, we encounter the zealot with fire and brimstone, scattered and unfocused–a knowing, maybe without any experience to back up the information. 

Zeus is connected to fecundity, fertility, and fruitfulness–scattering his seed is part of the archetype. Something is born and wants to grow, expand, and take up space. There is a saying, “There’s no growth in the comfort zone and there’s no comfort in the growth zone.” If we stay in the same places feeling cramped and penned in, Jupiter is here to encourage a shift, even if uncomfortable. 

Zeus is also connected to the eagle, reminding us to take a bird’s eye view of any situation we find ourselves in. What does this broader perspective help us see? How does the distance give us a different POV?
