Full Moon in Capricorn at 8 degrees on June 29, 2026

Full Moons bring illumination and culmination. Most staffs of hospitals, the police, and anyone driving a cab, uber, or a bus knows that Full Moons tend to bring out the lunacy in people and situations. The energy is building to a crescendo, just like a wave. What are you noticing as this Full Moon comes into exactitude?

What I'm noticing is that there's a lot of other astrological aspects (especially with the outer planets: Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) shaping that is taking precedence in some way, so that this Full Moon might be more impactful than you'd think. When we are talking about the outer planets we are working with the transpersonal, meaning the outer planets have a different agenda. There is a push for society as a whole, so the individual is herded along, kind of like a little kid that is having a tantrum and the mom is trying to get through Target with two other kids, cart, and other errands to be done. It's not that she doesn't care, but it's just there are other things to attend to as well. So, this Full Moon that involves the Cancer/Capricorn axis might pull up things that we weren't aware of or is a bit of an ouch.

The Sun and Moon are opposite each other. The Moon is in the earth sign of Capricorn. The Sun is in the water sign of Cancer. The polarities of these signs remind us that when earth gets hard packed, it takes water to soften and loosen. And when water is rampant, like in a flood, we use earth (rocks, sand, etc) as levees to contain the water. Last week I wrote a post about Jupiter leaving Cancer and a Mercury retrograde coming in. In some sense, I think we need some of this Capricorn energy to vessel some of the overflowing emotions we may find ourselves experiencing. Take note of what's in full illumination right now--it's calling for your attention.

This lunation has a separating square from Neptune in Aries and an applying square to Saturn, also in Aries. In some way, Neptune may suggest the rising of the tides or the extra swell of emotion coming our way, and Saturn represents the boundaries or limits that can be used to help hold that energy. Capricorn appreciates the practical and the disciplined, so it's a bit of a paradox happening at a Full Moon when emotions are part of the process. How can you let your emotions spill over? Give those emotions time to come up and out. Some people get nervous with big feelings. There can be a fear of becoming unmoored or out of control. Sometimes, envoking Saturn can help--use a time limit, or ask a trusted friend to help guide you in coming "back" after letting loose, or use any self-soothing techniques that bring you back to yourself.

We may notice we are reactive and swept away by whatever is coming up for us. How do your respond to overwhelm? Consider this a "weather" report, what would you do if you knew a storm was brewing? You'd prepare, right? So in a metaphorical sense bring out your rain gear, close the windows, check places that leak, get some towels out. Another way to lean into this energy is to be responsible for our emotions. If you know this lunation is touching your chart in a personal way, what tools will you use to help you ride the tide? And if it's not hitting your chart, how can you be a safe container for others who may need it? You may want to create a check list of sorts. Saturn likes a good reality check too.

Be kind to yourself as you navigate anything that surfaces. We are dealing with cardinal signs and that does speak to needing this energy to move or something to get started. Since these planets are creating a T-square in the cardinal signs of Cancer, Capricorn, and Aries, we know that Libra can be a relief valve of sorts. Perhaps there is a good friend that can offer an ear and a shoulder to lean on?
