The Full Moon is happening on June 11 at 20 degrees of Sagittarius. We know the Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon oppose each other. The night sky is lit up and something is on full display. The energy of the Full Moon is one of completion, illumination, and release.

Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign. It brings an adventurous, philosophical, and optimisitic energy to the table. It's connected to truth. That can feel like honesty and sincerity, or Truth with a capital T, as in a righteous or moral truth. Look to the Sag house in your chart. Are you feeling trapped? Stifled? Or free and open? Do your tenets ground you or are you on your soapbox?

Jupiter, the ruler of Sag, tends to say "yes" with exuberance. It's archetype is connected to growth, good luck, the search for meaning, higher learning and wisdom, generosity, and optimism. We have to keep in mind that not all growth is comfortable. I remember when one of my kids got a palate expander as part of their orthodontia journey. Each day we had to twist the little device so the roof of their mouth became wider so all their teeth could come in. It was a painful time, but/and also, all their teeth fit and they have a beautiful smile to prove it.

Jupiter reminds us we need meaning in our life. If we aren't feeling this, we may want to explore this area of our chart more fully. What needs to be shed or released in order to reconnect with our sense of purpose? Perhaps there are some old tenests or philosophies that need some inspiration or updating?

This lunation has many squares that may provide some more insight.....

First, the Sun and Moon will square the nodes, so we may feel we are at a crossroads or a choice point. If you ever saw the movie Castaway, the final scene can capture the feel of this Full Moon. Tom Hank's character has returned to civilization after four years of being on a deserted island. He has a package to deliver that was very meaningful to him during his 4 years alone. Once he's done that, he finds himself making a decision. Does he go back to his "prior" life? Or does he take off for unknown territory?

Second, the ruler, Jupiter is sitting with Mercury in the early degrees of Cancer, squaring Neptune and Saturn in the early degree of Aries. On one hand, we may be feeling upbeat, curious, with lots of "irons in the fire", and on the other hand, we may feel we are lacking or disconnected in some spiritual way. What is dissolving?

Third, we have Venus in Taurus squaring Pluto in Aquarius. This could suggest that relationships or our connection to a sense of worth are going through a breakdown process. What needs to die so something new can appear? Change and progress can occur when the old and outdated are ushered out or updated.

Fourth, Mars in Leo is applying to a square to Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is wrapping up it's time in Taurus, after 7 years in this sign. So this energy can feel explosive and impactful. There could be dynamic upswell towards independence and rebellion. This area of life has the impulse to get our swagger on. Breakthroughs, breakups, aha moments abound.

Sagittarius is the centaur with the bow and arrow. Where are we aiming? Are we aware of our aspirations? Spend some time around this lunation exploring and evaluating if you feel discconected or purposeless. What is missing? What renews or restores you in some meaningful way? Is there some soul-searching to do? Painful as it might be, it's time to change. What do you want to aim for? How can you move ahead?
