Full Moon at 14 degrees of Aries

Here comes the first lunation after the eclipses, and in some way it feels reminiscent of what we learned with the last set of eclipses that occurred in Libra and Aries. We may even want to look back in our journals or photos to the time around March 29th of this year, when we had the final solar eclipse at 9 degrees of Aries. What has changed since then? Perhaps something is coming to a culmination in that area of your life? Aries holds the potential of new beginnings, but a Full Moon speaks to release. So, there could be a feeling of a paradox here. It could be a poignant time as you look back.
Aries is an initiatory energy, a getting your engine going feeling. How does your metaphorical Aries engine feel? Sometimes we go to start our car and are met with some coughs, sputters, or even a dead battery. If that's how you're feeling, how can you "jumpstart" or "service" your engine? Sometimes, we feel we don't have a choice before we have to start something new, and that can increase some of our anxiety. Sometimes, we can't wait to begin again, and that amps us up. It's helpful to remember to have compassion for whatever your feeling--excitement and angst are pretty similar emotions, even though defined differently.
Mars is the ruler of this lunation and it's in another sign it rules, Scorpio. You may feel an intensity to this Full Moon. There is a potential for a deep and cathartic release. Fixed water (Scorpio) can feel like a bit of an oxymoron. Water is supposed to flow, right? So, where are the places that you notice within the situation or even yourself that are stopped up or hold a place of rigidity?
Mercury has also just entered Scorpio, so words may become a little more spicy. Regardless, recognize that words matter and have meaning. You can often forgive someone for what they've said, but it gets a bit trickier when it comes to forgetting them. Mars wants to activate and trigger something, so being aware that "fighting words" could be in the air, may help you navigate some situations. Consider what is looking to be released or shed in this moment. Take note of when you're being activated by words....can you pause for a beat before responding?
Consider a verse from the Tao Te Ching:
Verse 8
The supreme good is like water, nourishes all things without trying to.
It is content with the low places that people disdain. Thus it is like the Tao.
Finally, the Moon is moving towards a square from Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter in Cancer is said to be exalted, which means it works in an optimal fashion. Squares equate with stress or tension, but when meeting up with a planet that is exalted, it can "soften" that energy. So, maybe we find some support in unexpected places. Look to your Cancer house for some insight. Is it the 7th house? Perhaps a loved one or business partner offers a solution that brings a sense of autonomy? Is it the 3rd house? Maybe you read something that inspires you to take the risk. Is it the 5th house? Maybe taking some time to play reminds you of a time when you were younger when everything was new and you were curious to try new things.
At this Full Moon, instead of using your energy trying to prevent something, let things flow. Don't resist. Don't try to stop the flow of words or emotions. Be willing to sit with what is and what is present. Shed and release.

We got a sneak peek at where the outer planets are going to start exerting their influences. Pluto is firmly in Aquarius. Neptune (and Saturn) in Aries and Uranus in Gemini gave us this heads up. But now, Neptune and Uranus are about to dip back into Pisces and Taurus respectively. It reminds me of body surfing, as you crest the wave you can see things you couldn't see as the wave was building, but now you get a glimpse. At the apex of the wave there is a bit of a balancing act--sometimes you can feel you're a little too far ahead and the wave is going to take you under, other times you feel like you're too far behind and you missed the energy, and still other times you find you're in the "sweet spot" and going with the flow. Take some time as Neptune and Uranus dip back to reassess where you are currently. The "view" could've been a little unsettling and there's some fear about what's coming next. Maybe you felt like you missed something--where is your focus? Do you need to tie up some loose ends so you can catch the next wave? Or do you feel like you're ready to go whenever the time is right?
Change is inevitable. Astrology helps us to see where change is afoot. Most people equate change with chaos but essentially it is a crisis. Crisis is derived from the Greek work “krino”, which means “to decide”. It’s time for a decision. Kicking the can down the road, refusing to decide, or waiting for the circumstances to change results in more suffering. These next few months can give you a chance to sync up with the outer planets energies by focusing on the choices you have, so you can decide as best you can. The invitation is to get into the flow.
