Eclipses are grouped into families called Saros cycles. Let’s review what they were trying to help us express or learn.
Start by looking at the dates listed and then go to your chart and look at your Aries and Libra houses in order to understand where you have had new beginnings or chapter ending experiences. What was happening around those dates?
If you don’t remember, take note of what’s been occurring in and around 3/29, as eclipse stories usually have a 6 month period where the story is being “played out”. You may also want to start keeping track of the Saros cycles going forward. If you still keep a paper date book, jot down what happened before and after each eclipse so you can notice any patterns.
The North Node (NN) accompanied the Aries eclipses (beginnings) and the South Node (SN) was the companion of the Libra eclipses (endings). Some astrologers suggest we go towards the NN experiences and repudiate the SN ones. I believe that, like a battery, we need both the plus and minus sides to ignite the charge. And, how Libran is that? We need balance.
So, in some way, we were being asked to be the fulcrum–or to be in the middle of two opposing forces. But, balance is tentative at best. Have you ever held a yoga balancing pose? Part of the Libra archetype is to enjoy those brief moments of equilibrium, knowing that it won’t last. Aries is brave, bold, and brash. It’s independent and determined. It takes courage to go your own way. So, Aries can feel one-sided because they’re often not considering the “other”. And, Libra often thinks of others to their own detriment. Compromise, a sense of what’s fair, and diplomacy are parts of what makes Libra tick.
When you look back over these past two years, where have you had to call on some inner courage? Have you noticed anything out of balance?
