Partial Lunar Eclipse at 4 degrees of Pisces on August 28, 2026

This time of year reminds me of when my kids would have water balloon fights to cool off. There was a certain amount of patience needed as you filled up the water balloon too. If it was filled too much it would burst; filled too little and it often wouldn't pop or barely got the other person wet upon impact.

That image of the balloon getting to its fullest potential is how I view this eclipse--something is at the edge of bursting. We have a Full Moon which speaks to something culminating, and we have the last eclipse in Pisces, which also connotes something at its end. The final ingredient for this eclipse?A square from Uranus! We know we are in for some kind of surprise ending. Uranus promises fast moving energy that is unpredictable. Uranus is a sky god that is connected to awakening, aha moments, freedom, and innovation. We could be experiencing a nervy, edgy, restless energy in our Gemini house.

The mutable signs are being lit up with the Moon in Pisces, the Sun in Virgo, and Uranus in Gemini. This makes a T-square, shooting the energy in to Sagittarius. Perhaps Sag can provide a relief valve of sorts for us. Sag is a mutable fire sign that signals in us a need to remember our ideal and what we brings meaning into our lives. We may need to reconnect with an inner fire or creative element if we find we are uninspired by the events in our lives. A fire may be lit to seek out and explore certain areas of life that connects us to a deeper meaning.

Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Pisces. It will help to look at these areas of your chart. What houses are they? Where is something wrapping up (Pisces)? Can you give yourself permission to explore your Sag house more thoroughly? Jupiter can bring abundance and/or overwhelm. What are you experiencing? With eclipses we know these are times of endings and beginnings. In order for something new to come in, we need to release. How can you help the energy along by going with the flow and releasing what's over?

The Sun will be sitting next to Mercury reminding you of the stories we tell ourselves, the contents of our heads, what occupies our thoughts and perceptions, how we communicate in all the ways (written, oral, body, etc). So take note of the messages you receive in and around these days.

This will be the last eclipse in Pisces (with the north node) for the next 18 years. So, where is your Pisces house? What do you meet there? Is it your 6th where you may meet physical health, work habits and routines, and pets? Is it the 8th house where you meet the taboo--the things we aren't supposed to talk about like sex, death, taxes, and money. What started out here in September 2024 and in September 2025. A story is wrapping up and sometimes that comes with the messiness of tying up loose ends. How can you embrace this process and go with the flow?

Eclipses bring unstable energy. It's a great time for self care and down time if possible. Virgo/Pisces axis speaks to being of service, sometimes we care for others more than ourselves. This eclipse cycle could have been reminding you to add yourself into any care routines.
