Happy Summer Solstice 2026!

Happy Summer Solstice to every one in the Northern Hemisphere. It's the longest day of the Summer which means we will have about 15 hours of sunlight on June 21, 2026.
I celebrated a bit early and went to a friend's farm for a beautiful evening of yoga, pick-your-own-flowers, and some delicious food and conversation under the stars. If you live in the Baltimore area, I highly recommend going to my friend Sarah's farm Forage Hill Farms. https://foragehillfarm.com/ is her website, and it has lots of information on what a regenerative farm is and how their commitment to healthier practices, food, and ultimately, community are their top priorities. Above are some pictures from the night and my beautiful bouquet I brought home.
How will you celebrate this day? Some ideas may be: gardening, making a home-cooked healthy meal, spending time in the sun or with nature, and/or writing down a few intentions (and then reviewing them at the Winter Solstice on December 21, 2026). What would you like to embody or create over the next six months? At this time of the year we often thank the sun for helping our crops grow and flourish. What is your relationship to abundance? With Chiron coming in to Taurus, we are all being asked to consider that. How much is enough? What do we need? And where may we be going overboard? How can we share and spread the love? Taurus is an earth sign, so our relationship to Mother Earth is a part of this transit. Will we continue to extract more and more or can we work with her in conscious harmony? Richard Tarnas has a beautiful essay entitled "Two Suitors: A Parable". (https://cosmosandpsyche.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/two-suitors.pdf) Consider reading that aloud while your sitting outside. Make some sun tea, work with clay, get your hands "dirty", walk barefoot in the grass, donate to an organization such as the Nature Conservancy, Earthday, or the Environmental Defense Fund. How can you be the suitor who seeks "empowered participation in a co-creative unfolding of new realities"?
