Here we are at another Full Moon. Imagine being next to a body of water at night and the light of the Moon is stressing a feature we might not have noticed or have been ignoring. The archetype sometimes connected to Scorpio is the detective and the ninja. We are on a mission of stealth. Lets use our powers of observation. Explore the landscape and the themes connected to your Scorpio house. But, take heed, there's something that would rather stay hidden, so go gently.
To orient yourself, know that the Full Moon is a time when the Sun and Moon are opposite each other. There is something here calling for your attention. Scorpio is a fixed water sign and I often think this is an area that can feel like an iceberg--what you see above the water, may not be what's really happening underneath. The ruler of Scorpio, Mars, is in its other sign it rules, Aries, at the time of this Full Moon. Will this bring us some clarity? Will we bravely go forth? Or, perhaps, we need to make some kind of adjustment to the information that is gleaned at this time. Mars is starting to apply to a square to Jupiter in Cancer. Emotions are big and may be over the top. They may be seeking attention and nurturance. Mars has pulled away from its conjunction with Saturn, so maybe Mars has finally got some traction and barreling down the road. To have that energy of being contained, then released, and then hitting another friction point that makes things more exuberant, may make us feel like we are a bit out of control. We may not be aware of the things that are driving or compelling us at this time, so let's pay attention to our reactions and what might be setting us off.
The Moon has just come off a square with Pluto in Aquarius. In modern astrology, Pluto is the co-ruler of Scorpio, so perhaps we came up against something more powerful or intense as we come into this time of the Full Moon. The Moon and Pluto go deep! Don't be surprised if a well spring of emotions surges upward as this week unfolds.
Look to your Scorpio house? What are the themes experienced there? Is it the 1st house? Perhaps your body is sending you signals you've been ignoring. Is it the 2nd house? What is your attitude around money or your selfworth? Is it the 3rd? How are your communications working for you these days? Is it the 4th? Maybe something around your domestic life needs some attention? The 5th? Have you been feeling like it's all work and no play? Or conversely, maybe you've been ignoring other responsibilities? Is it the 6th house? Look at your diet and health? Is it the 7th? How are your 1:1 relationships treating you? Is it the 8th? Perhaps there are some joint resources that need to be explored? The 9th? What is the deeper meaning behind your tenets and philosophies? Perhaps it's the 10th house? Are there some things happening at work or a status change? Maybe it's the 11th house? What friend groups are starting to change? Or the 12th? Are you feeling a need to retreat? Skeletons coming out of the closet? Hopefully, this gives you some clues, but wherever it is falling in your chart, take some time to take out the "trash" in that area of life. Don't be afraid.
I'll leave you with some thoughts from Hopi Elders called "We Are The Ones We've Been Waiting For":
This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.
